Important Women's Ministry Announcement

The Session is excited to announce "Prepare for Life" Bible Study is coming to Bethel. Renowned teacher, Kathy Phillips, with her soft-spoken manner, exuberant sense of humor and personal stories, make Biblical lessons easy to understand and incorporate into daily lives. Simply put, Kathy's lessons go right to the heart of the matter.

Perfect for all ages and all walks of life, each study brings the Word of God to life for everyone from the well-versed Bible student to those who have perhaps never opened a Bible before.

This year's study will be in Acts. We're excited at the prospect of learning God's Word together and being transformed by the renewing of our hearts and minds. We hope you'll join us!

Join us on Tuesdays at 9:30 am on September 18th or Wednesday evenings on September 25th! Registration is now open at bethelofhouston.com/women. Childcare provided.
New Parking Procedure Goes Live This Sunday!

Per our announcement on August 3, as of this Sunday, Bethel will have no right to park on the synagogue lot next door. We ask that you respect their ownership of that lot and our testimony as followers of Jesus Christ and not park on the lot at any time, including both weekends and weekdays.

The Session is grateful that the owner of the office complex directly across from Bethel at 800 and 750 Bering is willing to make all surface parking at both buildings and all of the garage parking at 800 Bering available to the church on Sunday at no charge. Beginning immediately, we request that all Sunday parking on the Bethel campus be reserved for our visitors, seniors and those needing assistance, and we ask that other members and regular attenders begin using the office parking across the street. The garage at 800 Bering is now open, and security, traffic direction and crossing assistance will be provided for office parking by an off-duty policeman on Sunday mornings.

Our deacons and volunteers are working on signage and directions to make these changes clear, and a parking diagram is available for your information.

Please Fill Out the Congregational Survey by This Sunday

The Internal Task Force Committee has recently completed a survey that we would like all members and regular attenders to prayerfully answer by this Sunday. This survey is will be part of God's process to help the Elders of Bethel to discern God's vision for Bethel in the next 5-10 years. The Elders are called by God to prayerfully discern the vision, not as a demographic vote, but rather by a serious assessment of the needs and hopes of the church as a whole. This survey is part of the listening process the Elders are using.

We've received only 100+ surveys so far. Please set aside 5 minutes to fill out the survey by clicking here. We value your input and thank you for your participation in this effort.

Video Devotional with Dwain Camp

Each week Bethel's interim pastor, Dwain Camp, sits down with the staff to spend 5 minutes in the Scripture together. This time has been deeply beneficial for us and we thought we'd share this time with you, too. Consequently, weeks in which Dwain is in town, we intend to record/produce a weekly video devotional from his devotional with the staff.

This week's devotional is Proverbs 15:22, which states, "Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed."
