| A new year always brings some sense of new beginnings -- a clean slate. Why not start it off right, gathering with God's people around His Word and Worship! We return to our overview of Romans, embarking on Paul's practical life application of these great Gospel truths (chapter 12 this Lord's Day).

| We're excited (and a bit apprehensive) to remind you that the dismantling to our Sanctuary entrance and beginning stages of the front parking plaza construction are underway. ALL access to Bethel's facilities will be through the North access doors (on the Synagogue side of our buildings). Within a few weeks we hope to have brand new parking open in a portion of the east lot. And the goal for completion of the new entry-way is Easter! These are exciting developments, but for a time they may cause us some degree of discomfort.

A few suggestions:
- Try to arrive a bit earlier than usual for all Bethel events
- Leave front row parking for guests, our older church family members, and also parents with small children
- Those Bethel attenders more physically fit (and those of us who should be!) might consider parking in the lot directly across Bering or at Kelsey-Seybold
- Especially in the event of inclement weather, be early and also considerate of others

| Through all the busy-ness and business of closing out an old year and marking a new, have you stopped and taken a spiritual inventory of your walk with Christ? How is your heart? How can you use your spiritual gifts in more effective ways? What idols are you protecting? How will God be glorified in your life, beginning New Year's Day and all throughout the year? What secret sins are you carrying over into 2010? This is soul-work... don't neglect it! |
